Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m a travelholic. Travel has always been on my mind and I eagerly shared it with my husband Fatih. At the time I used to work as a front office manager for an international hotel chain allowing us to stay at employee rate in hotels around the world. We definitely wanted kids but would never compromise on traveling. We just had to make it work and so we did. Our daughters Alegra & Jade, who are now 12 and 10, have been flying intercontinentally from as early as 6 months.
Traveling has become a true passion, also for the girls. But in our everyday life we keep both feet on the ground, just like you. On weekdays you’ll find me in the International Office of a university college – where else? Our girls attend school in our homebase near Ghent, Belgium. But you’ll hardly ever find us there during weekends and holidays. Those are spent taking a desert safari in Dubai, chasing waterfalls on Hawaii island, exploring the Benagil cave in Portugal by kayak, boogie-boarding at Ka’anapali beach on Maui, admiring the tulip fields in The Netherlands at Keukenhof Gardens and beyond, putting our French Riviera itinerary to the test, soaking up the culture in Malta, celebrating carnival in Panama, visiting the gold souk in Dubai or exploring Paris at night.
Our travel adventures are often a source of inspiration to friends and family. Now this blog enables us to share these travel experiences with you.
The map shows our homebase (yellow) as well as the destinations we have explored so far without the kids (green) and with the kids (pink).
