10 gorgeous family-friendly luxury resorts in the Mediterranean

Now that you know where our love for family-friendly luxury hotels comes from, it’s time to use it to your advantage. As promised, we’ve split up our long list of favorites by region.  For this post, I’ve put together a list of gorgeous family-friendly luxury resorts in the Mediterranean that are high on our Clan’s bucket list. What better region to start with, right? It’s the place were we’ve spent all of our childhood vacations and made lots of memories. This makes us very familiar with the region and with its many delights.

When to stay at family-friendly luxury resorts in the Mediterranean?

We love everything about the Med but there’s a downside: Prices tend to go through the roof during Europe’s summer break in July and August. Staying at one of the prestigious hotels will not be an option for the average family. You may find a steal if you book early but that’s a long shot. In order to get access to these exclusive properties for a more reasonable price, a change your mindset is required. That means traveling off-season, which is very well doable for most thanks to the Easter holiday in April and extended weekends in the month of May. Another option is to start your holiday in the final days of June or in the last week of August. For your convenience, we’ve calculated prices based on shoulder season reference dates.

It might not be as hot as in the heart of summer but that’s usually a good thing. Slightly cooler weather will allow you to see much more of the surroundings than you would on a hot summer day. And if the property has a heated pool then you might not even notice the difference in temperature.
